Kiah Dihle is the Juneau Empire’s player of the week.

Dihle, a sophomore on the Thunder Mountain High School cross-country team, placed eighth last Saturday at the ASAA Division I state cross country race with a time of 19 minutes, 10 seconds. Dihle’s performance marked the highest state finish in three years on the Falcons girls. Last month, the multi-sport talent won the Petersburg Invitational before placing second at both the Ketchikan Invitational and Region V Championships.
