In recognition of National Police Memorial Day, Juneau will honor fallen law enforcement officers as part of Alaska’s Police Memorial Ceremonies.

The ceremony will take place on May 18 at 11 a.m. at Twin Lakes. The public is invited to show its support to those in uniform and to remember those who have lost their lives, the Department of Public Safety announced in a press release.

Anchorage will have its ceremony on May 10 at the Alaska State Crime Detection Laboratory. Fairbanks will have its event on May 17 at the Fairbanks Police Department.

National Police Memorial Day is recognized every year on May 15.
