Police have arrested a man suspected of attempted robbery at Home Depot in May, according to a Saturday release.

As of Friday, the Juneau Police Department was searching for Juneau resident Patrick “Biscuit” Kane Jr., according to the release. At 4:27 a.m. Saturday, police apprehended the 39-year-old robbery suspect.

Kane was arrested and charged for first-degree robbery, third-degree assault and second-degree theft, all related to an incident at Home Depot last week. He also had an outstanding $200 JPD warrant for alleged violations of conditions of release. Police took Kane to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

According to a press release in May, a suspect shoplifted an estimated $400 in items from Home Depot and then pulled a knife on the store employees who confronted him about the items. JPD got a call from Home Depot at about 2:43 p.m., police say, but the suspect was gone by the time officers arrived.

Witnesses at the scene, according to the release, saw the suspect run down a hill on the back side of the store and get into a blue extended cab GMC pickup truck with black rims.

Police say they identified another person who was in the store and associated with the robbery at the time, 25-year-old Juneau resident William Eric Moy, Jr.
