A Sunday story about Alaska Electric Light & Power Co. filing for a rate increase with the Regulatory Commission of Alaska stated there would be two rate increases. According to AEL&P, the company filed for a single rate increase of 8.1 percent, which would be implemented in two stages: the first an interim 3.6 percent increase, then a 4.24 percent permanent increase later.
