Former Southeast regional fisheries coordinator Scott Kelley has taken over the state’s top commercial fisheries job. Wednesday was Kelley’s first day as director of commercial fisheries for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.
The news was first reported by KDLG-FM in Dillingham.
Kelley, former head of the shellfish and groundfish program in Southeast, replaces Jeff Regnart, who retired at the start of October.
