Spring photo contest winner

Last week, we asked you to send us your best outdoors shot that epitomizes “spring” in a photo. Thanks to everyone who shared their photos with us.

We received a bunch of submissions and chose Kenneth Gill’s photo of drumstick primroses as the winner! Congratulations on winning a $5 gift certificate to the Rookery Cafe.

We also picked a few honorary mentions: Blain Anderson’s salmonberry flower, Deborah Rudis’ purple mountain saxifrage, a closeup view of colorful horsetail by Dorlyn Alper and swallows pairing up by Kerry Howard. See those photos on page C4, and you can view all of the photos in a slideshow here.
