Player of the Week: Brady Carandang

Video included.

Brady Carandang is the Juneau Empire’s player of the week.

Carandang, a Thunder Mountain High School junior, scored 37 points in a weekend home series on Friday and Saturday against Juneau-Douglas. The 5-foot-11, 160-pound guard, led the Falcons both nights in 3-point field goals, scoring three treys on Friday and four on Saturday. Carandang made an unlikely half-court shot with about two seconds left in the second quarter on Saturday, sending the entire Thunderdome into a tizzy.

Thunder Mountain, now 12-12 overall in 4-2 in conference, plays at Ketchikan this weekend to finish out the regular season. Watch a livestream of the games against the Kayhi Kings at kgbsd.org/live. The Region V Southeast Tournament is March 5-9 in Sitka.
