The Alaska Department of Health and Social Services reported Monday another confirmed case of COVID-19 from Juneau, according to City and Borough of Juneau. The source of the virus is under investigation.

The person who tested positive for the illness is a man between the ages of 30 and 39, CBJ stated in a release while citing DHSS.

Juneau has now had 17 cumulative cases — six cases are a result of community transmission, nine secondary and one travel-related case in addition to the newest case pending investigation, according to DHSS. Ten of the 17 cases have recovered. DHSS reported Juneau’s 16th case, a woman between 30 and 39, Sunday.
