JUNEAU — U.S. Sen. Lisa Murkowski brought in about $920,000 toward her re-election bid during the latest fundraising period.
The Republican ended the quarter, Sept. 30, with $2.9 million available, according to a summary of her filing with the Federal Election Commission released by her campaign.
Murkowski, who faced a tough re-election fight in 2010, so far has no major announced opposition for next year’s race. Murkowski won re-election in 2010 with a write-in campaign after losing the GOP primary.
Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. Don Young brought in just over $110,000 between July and September. Young, the longest serving Republican in the U.S. House, had about $570,000 on hand.
Other announced candidates for next year’s House race have not reported raising money or have not made filings with the Federal Election Commission.
