A man was escorted from the Assembly meeting Monday night. KC Kreger was asked to leave Centennial Hall on allegations of repeated harassment against city officials, according to City Attorney Emily Wright.
Kreger was previously arrested at City Hall on a trespassing charge on Oct. 16, according to Juneau Police Department records.
“He was trespassed for a pattern of continuous harassment and threats towards staff,” Wright said.
Kreger arrived at Monday’s meeting wearing ski goggles and a mask.
Kreger approached an Assembly member and entered into a heated discussion. Deputy City Manager Robert Barr then presented Kreger with a trespass letter, and police asked him to leave.
Kreger referred to himself as a whistleblower, and said he wanted to bring to light accusations against the City regarding safety concerns with the Black Bear chair life at Eaglecrest Ski Area.
“I was trying to help the community of Juneau,” Kreger said while being escorted from the meeting. “They endangered us all.”
Police asked Kreger to leave, and he willingly left while being escorted out of the building by several police officers.
The meeting, scheduled to start at 6 p.m, commenced at 7 p.m. immediately after Kreger was escorted out. Wright said city leaders decided to delay the meeting until JPD had arrived, due to Kreger’s presence.
