Thunder Mountain High School student recognition for September

Thunder Mountain High School chose to recognize four students for the month of September for their hard work and academic achievement.

Senior Kollin Jones was nominated by Gene Randall, who said: “Kollin’s opening comment on his first day of school says it all–‘Let’s get to work.’ Teachers have gone out of their way to let me know this guy has hit another milestone in maturity and determination to graduate. Kollin respectfully self-advocates when he needs help or more time and is constantly searching for ways to earn more credits. When Kollin gets frustrated by a barrier, he takes a break and doubles-down his effort until he succeeds. He isn’t going to let anything stop him from walking across that graduation stage.

Sophmore Justin Sivertsen was nominated by Adriana Northcutt, who said Sivertsen “Has worked hard to keep up in my class and follow all the directions! Clearly cares about his academics!”

Senior Lauren Hatch was nominated by Janna Lelchuk, who said, “Second year in Yearbook. This year our team manager. Hard work, good designs and pages! Lauren contributed a lot in our yearbook last year and she continues doing that. Good job, I count on you, Lauren!”

Junior Janea Reece was nominated by Al Tingley, who said Reece is “calm in the storm. Already has a project lined out for woods. Janea is ready to work.”
