State library, archives and museum temporarily closes

The Alaska State Library, Archives and Museum will be closed through Saturday, Oct. 24 because of COVID-19 conditions in City and Borough of Juneau, the state’s education department announced.

The facility is ordinarily closed on Sundays and Mondays, Alaska Department of Education and Early Development said in a news release. Updates will be available online at lam.alaska.gov.

For assistance during business hours, people can call the archives at 465-2270, the library reading room at 465-2920, the library historical collections at 465-2925 and the museum at 465-2901.
