Player of the Week: Ali Beya

Ali Beya is the Juneau Empire’s player of the week.

Beya, a junior running back on the Juneau Huskies, caught his team’s lone touchdown pass last Saturday night against South Anchorage in the state football quarterfinals. The score marked Beya’s 10th touchdown of the season, tying Gaby Soto for second-most on the team behind quarterback Cooper Kriegmont. The 5-foot-9, 155-pounder recorded with over 700 yards rushing this season, and was named the best kick returner in the Chugach Conference.
