The Friends of the Poor Walk, the annual fundraiser for the St. Vincent de Paul Society, was a tremendous success. That, of course, is due to the amazing generosity of the individuals, organizations and businesses of our area.
The few who walk the two miles in solidarity with the poor are but a small representation of the many people who donate and support the work of St. Vincent de Paul. Over $19,000 was collected to help with the food, rent, utility, medical and transportation assistance offered by St. Vincent de Paul.
The result of this fundraiser proves once again that the work of promoting and providing social and material justice is your hearts and your hands.
