On Feb. 7, seven Floyd Dryden Middle School Battle of the Books teams battled at the school library. Team Banana Bashers (Solveig Wolter, Molly Brocious and Nanny Liddle) won first place with 120 points and Team Marshmallow Bisons earned second place (Sven Rasmussen, Kelsey Barker and Anneliese Dansie) with 112 points. Congratulations teams to a job well done! The Banana Bashers will continue on at the district level and compete at 3 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Mendenhall Valley Public Library. The public is welcome to attend.
