Twelve freshmen students from the Choosing Healthy Options in Cooperative Education (CHOICE) program at Juneau-Douglas High School: Yadaa.at Kalé made 12 blankets and donated them to children living in the Aiding Women in Abuse and Rape Emergencies (AWARE) shelter. The students received materials from Stephan Byers at Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts. The program also purchased $130 worth of materials. They donated 40 blankets in total to AWARE.
