It’s a crash course for setting a course for college.

University of Alaska Southeast is offering an Off to College event 4-7 p.m. today in the Glacier View Room of the Egan Classroom Wing at the university, 11066 Auke Lake Way.

The event is designed to provide information about applying to colleges to parents and student, and advisers will be present to help with the online scholarship application process, including how to complete the Free Application for Federa Student Aid or FAFSA.

Students can learn about undergraduate research, exchange opportunities, saving money and how to arrange a tour of John R. Pugh Residence Hall, which is dedicated to housing freshman.
