On June 14, prior to commissioning cutter Bailey Barco, the Coast Guards second fast response cutter in Alaska, State Sen. Mia Costello presented Capt. Shannan Greene, commander of Coast Guard Sector Juneau and Rear Adm. Michael McAllister, commander of the Seventeenth Coast Guard District, with a proclamation from the State of Alaska Joint Armed Services Committee honoring the Coast Guard for its 150 years of service in Alaska.
