Sealaska Heritage will host two artists in the foyer of the Walter Soboleff Building on First Friday: jewelry by Rene Culp, and healing salves, moccasins and cedar work from Rhonda Butler. Also, the store will be offering 10 percent off all copper-related merchandise, including bracelets, earrings, tináa, carvings and other artworks that incorporate this traditional Alaskan metal. All are welcome.

“Special Houses” art exhibit

Longtime Juneau Artist, Dianne Anderson, will be the featured artist at the Juneau Artists Gallery for the month of November. Her show, “Special Houses” will feature oil paintings of the House of Wickersham, Jensen Arboretum House, the Gruening Cabin, Governor’s Mansion and the Davis Log Cabin to name a few. Find them on the ground floor of the Senate Building, 175 South Franklin St. Treats will be served.
Book launch: “Tao of the Raven”

Ernestine Hayes and her lastest book “Tao of the Raven: An Alaska Native Memoir” will be at Trickster Company for a book signing. There will be books for sale as well as Crystal Worl’s art prints that match the book cover.
“Calligraphy: On Paper and Clay” art exhibit
Juneau-Douglas City Museum

Gordon Harrison’s will have traditional pen and ink calligraphy pieces, aas well as lettering on ceramics showcased at the City Museum. The artwork chronicles his efforts in the art of calligraphy over the past decade, and includes a variety of illustrative techniques, including pen and ink, wood block prints, photographs, handmade stamps and screen-printing.

New paintings of fish, prints on aluminum, and hand-painted t-shirts by MK MacNaughton.
Paintings and metal prints will be up through November, but a special ‘run’ of salmon T-shirts will be available first come, first catch from 4-6 p.m. at Coppa. Each one unique.
