Juneau-Douglas High School Theatre is performing “The Addams Family Musical” for one weekend only.

In the play, Wednesday Addams is all grown up and engaged to a boy from a “normal” family. In this “hilarious” musical, the Addams Family hosts a meet and greet between the two families — and meanwhile, Morticia, Wednesday’s mother, doesn’t yet know that the couple is engaged.

The play is rated PG.

Performances are Thursday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m.; Friday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Oct. 22 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., with a lunch with the cast of the show from 1 — 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23. The lunch features themed foods like “human fingers served on a bed of poison ivy” (salad and breadsticks), “bloody intestines with fresh eyeballs and skin shavings” (spaghetti and meatballs with parmesan cheese) and “I-scream Sundaes.” Gluten free versions of these “secret recipes” are also available.

Tickets are $10 for students and kids, $15 for senior citizens and $20 general admission. The play is produced and directed by Michaela Moore.

Vocal director and sound is Richard Moore; stage manager and lights is Emily Schnitzius; choreographers are Lydia Smith, Shanae’a Moore, and Michaela Moore; set construction and artwork are Bo Anderson, Hal Turman, and Diane Anderson; set wrangler is Sian Gonzales; prop mistress is Summer Putman; fly technician is Gavin Oxman.

Addams family characters are Gomez, played by Dylan Rice; Morticia, played by Lydia Smith; Wednesday, played by Kayla Kohlhase; Pugsley, played by Matthew Woodland; Fester, played by Hunter Hill; Grandma, played by Bethany Bibb; Lurch, played by Brandon Hard; and Thing, played by William Tolles.

The Beineke family characters are Alice, played by Leah Bibb; Mal, played by Quinn Gentili; and Lucas, played by Jaiden Rettinger.
