Treasury Secretary Lew plans Anchorage visit before Japan

ANCHORAGE — Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew will stop in Anchorage ahead of a trip to Japan next week.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced Thursday in a release that Lew will take part in meetings with business and community leaders in Alaska’s largest city on May 18.

He’ll then continue to Sendai, Japan, for the G-7 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting May 19-21.

Additional details of Lew’s visit to Anchorage will be announced later.
