Airlift Northwest to hold tours of new Juneau base

Airlift Northwest is opening its doors to the general public for a tour of its new hangar in Juneau. Visitors will get to see the aircraft up close, meet Airlift Northwest pilots and nurses, learn CPR and more. Attendees will get a behind-the-scenes look at how Airlift Northwest saves lives every day.

The event will be held from noon-4 p.m. on Sunday, April 10, at 8433 Livingston Way.

Airlift Northwest provides medical treatment and transport for critically ill and injured adults and children in the WWAMI region from its five bases in Washington: Seattle, Bellingham, Arlington, Olympia and Yakima and in Juneau, Alaska.

Since 1982, Airlift Northwest has provided life-saving care for more than 91,000 patients. Airlift Northwest’s Juneau base opened in 1994. It offers Aircare membership, a program that provides air medical service at an affordable cost, to residents of Southeast Alaska. Airlift Northwest is an entity of UW Medicine.
