Dreaming of life

I had the most glorious dream last night

I was waiting in the woods and suddenly
I was transformed into an eagle swooping and sailing
In the chill air feeling free and strong in the currents
Enjoying rocks and waterfalls cascading over the mountains — Too close!
Maybe it is all right soaring towards the sun
I floated onto a regal evergreen and became a soft rabbit making tracks in the snow
Leaping in the sparkling light
Running, running, smiling
And was then transformed into a mouse quivering under the canopy
I slowly floated back into consciousness
Knowing that this was not a dream but a promise
