Troopers investigate Soldotna home invasion, fatal shooting

ANCHORAGE — Alaska State Troopers are investigating a fatal shooting in Soldotna.

Troopers shortly before 9 p.m. Sunday received a report of a home invasion and shooting in the city.

The troopers’ Alaska Bureau of Investigation took charge of the case.

The bureau announced Monday it’s treating the incident as a homicide investigation.

Troopers say details released will be limited because of the nature of the investigation.
