Free support group today for family of addicts

A free, weekly support group — which meets downtown on Wednesdays — aims to help families of those struggling with heroin or opioid addictions.

The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence hosts the group from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Juneau Arts and Humanities Council. The support group is a safe, confidential space. Discussions are led by parents and the NCADD encourages any family member of an addict to come out.
