The U.S. Census Bureau reported Thursday which incorporated cities in Alaska experienced the largest increases in population between July 1, 2014 and July 1, 2015. Juneau’s population had the third largest increase with 131 people, preceded by Wasilla (434) and Palmer (250), and followed by Soldotna (104) and then Homer (103). Alaska has a total of 148 incorporated cities. These incorporated cities do not include minor civil divisions, such as townships and precincts, nor census-designated places.
