The world’s largest ski and snowboarding lesson coming to Eaglecrest

During Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month in January, Eaglecrest Ski Area will participate in a nationwide Guinness World Record Attempt for the World’s Largest Lesson at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8.

With a cost of $10, “the World’s Largest Lesson is this season’s most affordable and fun way for first time skiers and snowboarders to get on the mountain,” said an Eaglecrest news release. The cost includes the lesson, rental equipment and lower mountain lift ticket.

Local businesses and organizations are encouraged to “abandon the office for a day and enjoy some time on the slopes.”

Space is limited to 100 participants. Spots can be reserved by going online to skijuneau.com and looking for the “World’s Largest Lesson” on the homepage.

Registration forms can be downloaded and then submitted to the Eaglecrest ticket office either in person, faxed to (907) 586-4583 or emailed to eaglecrest@skijuneau.com)

Participants must submit completed registration forms and payment by noon on Thursday, Jan. 7. Forms include information to get everyone sized properly for rental equipment, as well as a credit card payment option.

In addition to the World’s Largest Lesson, Eaglecrest will be offering other packages for lessons, rental equipment and lift tickets through January.
