November rain (and trap shooting)

On a cold, dark, rainy day in late November, the shooters at a Juneau Gun Club registered match shot a 300 bird Pacific International Trapshooting Association event with Amateur Trapshooting Association cross registration permitted.

Here are the results:

For singles, during hard rain: “B” class: Mal Menzies, 90/100 (event & class winner); Fred Wilson, 86/100. “C” Class; Mer’Chant Thompson, 88/100 (class winner); Robert Gregg, 81/100 and Wayne Bertholl, 77/100.

Handicap, in hard rain: Short Yardage; Mer’Chant Thompson, 80/100 (event & class winner); Fred Wilson, 77/100; Robert Gregg, 73/100 and Wayne Bertholl, 70/100: Mid Yardage, Mal Menzies, 71/100.

Doubles, in rain: “C” Class; Mal Menzies, 74/100 (event winner); Wayne Bertholl, 66/100; Robert Gregg, 64/100; Fred Wilson, 63/100 and Mer’Chant Thompson, 62/100.

High overall: Mal Menzies, 235/300, for 78.3 percent. Runner-up: Mer’Chant Thompson, 230/300, for 76.7 percent.
