We in Southeast Alaska and the Aleutian Islands should not have to fight to keep our transportation via the Alaska Marine Highway System.

I, along with many others, know how to solve this entire budget issue. Give each eligible person a $400 PFD and we would be able to save our ferry system, schools/universities, health care, etc.
Problem solved.
