The American Legion Auke Bay Post 25 properly disposed of over 100 flags last Saturday.

The post has flag disposal boxes at the Sportsman’s Warehouse, Foodland IGA and Western Auto where the public can drop off unserviceable, torn or worn flags that are properly disposed of with a ceremony and to regulations. This is a public service provided by the Auke Bay Post #25 to the public.

The next public event for the American Legion will be posting U.S. flags on all veterans’ graves and markers at the Juneau Memorial Park prior to Memorial Day and conducting Memorial Day services at the Juneau Memorial Park on Memorial Day.
