School district updates meal pickup schedules

The Juneau School District has made several changes to its school meals program, which offers free meals to any child ages 1-18 regardless of their enrollment status with the district.

Friday pickups will include weekend meals as well. An updated schedule for meal pickups over breaks and holidays will be forthcoming shortly, said food services supervisor Adrianne Schwartz in an email. More information about the program and menus is available here.

Meals will be available for pickup at the following locations.

-All Schools: 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. Monday- Friday

-Gruening Park or Cedar Park- 11:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m. Monday- Friday (served out of school bus)

-Dzantik’i Heeni Middle School- 4-6 p.m. Monday- Friday
