Twin Lakes is closed to swimming because of a test sample that showed high levels of fecal bacteria, the city announced.

The closure is in effect until further notice, City and Borough of Juneau said in in a news release.

The city Parks and Recreation Department samples the water at Twin Lakes on a weekly basis and the most recent results came back with a high count, according to the city.
