The Compassionate Friends offer support for the bereaved

Published 9:00 am Sunday, November 6, 2016

The Compassionate Friends welcomes bereaved families through a national nonprofit self-help organization who have experienced the death of a child.

This Juneau Chapter meets monthly — the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Juneau Pioneers Home.

Those who join have an opportunity to meet with others on a regular basis. TCF offers friendship, understanding and hope to bereaved parents, siblings and grandparents. The organization’s philosophy is that people’s experiences with death causes a pain that is often best understood by others who have also experienced such a loss.
