Anchorage police release name of man found dead on road

ANCHORAGE — Anchorage police have released the name of the man found dead Monday morning on a city road

Police said 22-year-old Michael Miquann Mitchell was found dead at Mile 3 Campbell Airstrip Road.

Police are investigating the case as a homicide. They have not released how Mitchell died. No arrest has been made in the case.

Police said Mitchell’s body was found just before 8:30 a.m.

Police closed the road from 8:30 a.m. until about 1 p.m.

The road is the only route into Stuckagain Heights, a mountainside subdivision.
