• On Jan. 2, a son, Marius Henry Walters, weighing 7 pounds 10 ounces, was born to Ashley Hartzell of Tenakee Springs.

• On Jan. 6, a daughter, Eden Del Prete, weighing 7 pounds 3 ounces, was born to Shannon and Andrew Del Prete of Haines.
