Rainforest Yoga elected five new Board of Directors at it’s annual meeting on April 17: Kris Benson, Heidi Lengdorfer, Glen Ray, Libby Stringer and Jenny Strumfeld.

Board members were recruited based on their interest in yoga and other body-based movement programs, as well as their commitment to the Rainforest Yoga mission, promoting spiritual growth by offering instruction, guidance and education in the art, science and philosophy of yoga.

The Board expressed appreciation to exiting Board members Bev Ingram, Carol Race, Obren Davis, Lindsey Kirchhoff and Meridith Bless for their service to the Juneau community through their many years of service that has contributed to promoting a diversity of yoga and other body-based classes in downtown Juneau.

Continuing Board members, Evonne Reese, Kirk Mcmeen, Doug Sturm and Steve Wolf look forward to the opportunity of working with the newly elected Board members. The newly organized Board anticipates another year of offering the Juneau community ways of sustaining mental and physical health through a diverse schedule of yoga classes and related movement classes.
