Juneau man found dead following residential fire

A Juneau man was found dead following a residential fire in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway Saturday night.

Juneau Police Department and Capital City Fire/Rescue responded to a call placed around 7:30 p.m. reporting the fire, with the caller saying one of the residents was possibly still inside. CCFR found the deceased man after extinguishing the fire, according to a Sunday morning JPD information release.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. JPD said it will release the name of the deceased on Monday.
