Child Abuse or Neglect

At 6:09 p.m. on Saturday, the Juneau Police Department responded to a confidential report of possible child neglect.

Domestic Dispute

At 1:20 a.m. on Saturday, 54-year-old Edward Daniel Austin was arrested on Vista Drive for domestic violence assault, interfering with a domestic violence crime, harassment and resisting arrested. He was taken to Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

At 3:21 a.m. on Saturday, a 34-year-old male reported being assaulted by a 28-year-old female.

Motor Vehicle Collision Without Injury

At 7:48 a.m. on Saturday, a 49-year-old female reported a vehicle left the scene after crashing into a mailbox and two utility poles on Glacier Highway.

At 1:52 p.m. on Saturday, a 2002 Dodge pickup driven by a 35-year-old male struck a 2020 Ford van driven by a 19-year-old male on Crest Street.

Out With Subject or Situation

At 5:05 p.m. on Saturday, 35-year-old Kevin Jainese was cited and released on Marine Way for violating conditions of release and trespass.

Police Assist

At 11:09 a.m. on Saturday, 24-year-old Hailey Vonda was arrested on Glacier Highway on a $500 felony warrant for failure to appear on original charges of failure to stop and hindering prosecution.

Shoplifting

At 1 p.m. on Saturday, a 33-year-old female reported shoplifting by a 24-year-old male on Willoughby Avenue.

Suspicious Activity Vehicle Subject Device

At 10:27 a.m. on Saturday, 42-year-old Kyle Frye was arrested on Village Street on $200 in warrants for failure to appear on original charges of trespass and driving while license revoked/suspended. He was taken to LCCC.

Theft

At 5:39 p.m. on Saturday, a 45-year-old male reported his red 2015 Chrysler was stolen on Shell Simmons Drive. The vehicle was later recovered.

Traffic Stop

At 10:54 a.m. on Saturday, 36-year-old Amanda Phillips was arrested on Mendenhall Loop Road for driving without a license and violating conditions of release. She was taken to LCCC.

Trespassing

At 3:14 p.m. on Saturday, 35-year-old Nicholas Waterhouse and 34-year-old Meagan Dayton were cited and released for criminal trespass on Amalga Street.

At 4:31 p.m. on Saturday, 60-year-old Charles Fawcett was arrested for criminal trespass and assaulting an officer on Teal Street. He was taken to LCCC. Alcohol was a factor.

At 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, a 47-year-old male reported his apartment was broken into on 6th Street.
