Overturned moving truck blocks Fritz Cove Road

A large moving truck that tipped over in the 3200 block of Fritz Cove Road blocked traffic in both directions Thursday afternoon, according to the Juneau Police department.

Nobody was injured, according to a Facebook post just before 2 p.m. by JPD. Traffic was being redirected to Engineers Cutoff Road.

Lt. Krag Campbell said at 4 p.m. officials are planning to lift the truck back upright and there will be a complete road closure during that operation. He said he didn’t have a precise time frame, but estimated the work could occur sometime within the next hour.
