A former Bartlett Regional Hospital section chief was arraigned on two counts of felony first-degree theft on Friday morning in Juneau.

Bradley Grigg, 48, was arrested Thursday evening for allegedly stealing at least $108,000 from the city-owned hospital.

Grigg appeared over videoconference from detainment at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

The alleged theft primarily took the form of fraudulent trip claims and misuse of hospital-issued credit cards, said district attorney Jessalyn Gillum during the arraignment hearing.

Conditions for bail were set for Grigg, including a $10,000 appearance bond, electronic monitoring, and confinement to the City and Borough of Juneau by Judge Marianna Carpeneti. Judge Amy Mead will oversee Grigg’s case. A hearing to ascertain Grigg’s legal representation is scheduled for Aug. 31.

Grigg resigned from BRH in 2021 following the resignation of the former CEO following an inappropriate personal relationship.
