COVID at a Glance for Monday, Nov. 29

Numbers come from reports from the City and Borough of Juneau Emergency Operations Center and the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, as well as updates from the Alaska Coronavirus Response Hub and City and Borough of Juneau COVID-19 Dashboard.

Beginning next week, the city and state will begin providing COVID-19 data updates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays instead of daily. COVID at a glance will follow that schedule.

Test positivity rate: 4%

Cumulative cases: 3,874 residents and 298 nonresidents

Current hospitalizations: 0

Cumulative deaths: 16 residents, 1 nonresident

Vaccination information: 81.1% of Juneau’s eligible population ( 76.9% overall) has received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 74.4% of eligible Juneau residents (70.5% overall) have completed a full vaccination series.

New cases: 716 residents, 14 nonresidents

Test positivity rate: 5.89%

Cumulative cases: 145,398 residents and 5,411 nonresidents

Current hospitalizations: 80

New deaths: 1

Cumulative deaths: 848 residents, 30 nonresidents

Vaccination information: 61% of Alaska’s eligible population ( 57% overall) has received a first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, and 55% of eligible Alaskans (51% overall) have completed a full vaccination series.
