During the month of June, Super Bear IGA and Foodland IGA/Ace Hardware customers donated over $4,300 to the Juneau Raptor Center by rounding up their change at the end of each transaction, the stores announced.

With each transaction Super Bear and Foodland ask customers the option to round up their change to local charities.

“The Juneau Raptor Center would like to thank Foodland and Superbear IGA for their round-up program and the wonderful community of Juneau for their contributions,” said Kathy Benner, manager for Juneau Raptor Center, in a news release. These funds will help us continue our mission of rescuing birds and providing education throughout Southeast Alaska.”
