Writers’ Weir: Meeting In Plague Times

Published 10:30 pm Tuesday, December 1, 2020

zoom tease

Don’t get me wrong,

I’m OK with tech.

But so tired of Zoom.

The little face gallery

like fake passport photos

for fleeing felons.

An occasional fuzzy face

lurches forward. Unmuted voices

talk over each other. Children cry

and washing machine grumbles.

Dogs bark.

I want to reach through

the screen, grab a hand,

touch.
