The Libertarian presidential candidate had to reschedule her expected visit to Juneau and other stops in Alaska, the state Libertarian Party announced late Thursday.

The postponement comes after Libertarian nominee Jo Jorgensen learned of the death of her mother while boarding a plane, the Alaska Libertarian Party said in a news release. Jorgensen was meant to visit the capital city Friday and will still come to Juneau but on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Jorgensen will be hosting two events Tuesday, according to Alaska Libertarian Party, including a pick-up hockey game at Treadwell Arena from 1-2 p.m. and a barbecue and meet-and-greet at Lena Beach at 6 p.m.

Only the barbecue is open to the public.
