Sayeik Gastineau Community School was closed Friday because of coronavirus concerns after a student was tested for multiple viruses.

The results of the tests have not yet been released, but the school was closed as a precaution, City and Borough of Juneau said in a release. All after-school activities and meetings at Sayeik Gastineau have been canceled.

The district announced the news Thursday evening.
