Get ready to dip into the new year

The annual Polar Bear Dip is Wednesday.
The free and public event is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Auke Recreation Area main shelter. During the dip, participants will rush into the cold water. Capital City Fire/Rescue will be present to help keep the event safe.
Participants are encouraged to bring warm clothes and a towel and arrive at least 20 minutes early to secure parking.
