NAMI to hold free mental health education and wellness program

The National Alliance on Mental Illness in Juneau is holding a free wellness program for adults living with mental health conditions or substance use disorders, beginning in February.

NAMI Peer-to-Peer will have Saturday classes for eight weeks as the free class covers a range of topics, including current information and skills for improved wellness and mental recovery, all in a confidential, small group setting, according to a press release.

The sessions are intended to help people find balance with mental health conditions and get more out of their lives, according to the press release. Sessions will meet at noon on Saturdays through mid-March. Class size is limited and registration is required by Jan. 24.
