Over 30 boys and girls middle school basketball games took place Friday as part of the 2019 Icebreaker Tournament at Dzantik’i Heeni and Floyd Dryden middle schools.

The tournament included eight teams from DHMS and FDMS (boys A, boys B, girls A, girls B), as well 12 visiting squads from Ketchikan, Sitka, Gustavus and Yakutat.

In A Division round-robin action on Friday, the FDMS boys defeated DHMS 73-61 and the DHMS girls took down FDMS 37-19.

The championship games are slated for Saturday afternoon.
