The Wolverine touchdown count was actually five in the second half.

9:30 p.m.

Juneau is shutout in the second half by South, who scored four touchdowns after halftime to win 54-14. South advances to a semifinals matchup next weekend against West Anchorage. The Huskies close the season at 5-4.

9:02 p.m.

Carter Weber-Thomas’ 4-yard rushing score puts South up 40-14 with 11:22 left in the fourth.

8:55 p.m.

Juneau is outscored by South 16-0 in the third quarter, and now trail the Wolverines 34-14 to start the fourth.

8:02 p.m.

The Juneau Huskies trail South Anchorage 18-14 at halftime in the Division I state quarterfinals. Cooper Kriegmont and Ali Beya have Juneau’s touchdown.

Beya’s 3-yard touchdown grab capped a 19-play drive that ended just before halftime. The drive started on Juneau’s own 25-yard-line, and featured a big fourth-down conversion by running back Gaby Soto.

Kriegmont scored Juneau’s first points late in the first quarter. Kriegmont, the Huskies’ preferred ball carrier, followed a blocker for a 7-yard run into the left side of the end zone nearest to the ball fields at Adair-Kennedy Memorial Park.

South took the first lead of the game with 7:25 left in first quarter on Carter Weber-Thomas’ 8-yard run.

The Wolverines took their second lead of the game near the end of the first quarter. Quarterback Jackson Harmon faked a handoff, rolled to his right and delivered a strike to wide receiver Sean Ormberg for a 30-yard score.

Harmon had another big throw in the second frame, a 61-yard touchdown pass that put South up 18-7 with 8:38 left in the half.
