Insurance agent donates fire safety kit to CCFR

A Juneau State Farm insurance agent donated a fire prevention and safety kit to Capital City Fire/Rescue on Wednesday for Fire Prevention Week.
“One life saved, one injury prevented, one house fire that doesn’t happen, that’s what we are all working toward with community education,” insurance agent Robin Lonas said.
The kits are intended for school children, and are designed to familiarize children and homeowners with exit strategies to minimize casualties in the event of a house fire. The National Fire Protection Association celebrates Fire Safety Month each October. The kit included a large fire safety banner as well as brochures, coloring books, pamphlets, stickers, and bags for about 150 kids, said Lonas.
““These kits are designed to help educate and inform the community, and I appreciate Fire Marshall Dan Jager for joining forces,” Lonas said.
